Speaker, Author, Worship leader, songwriter, and composer, Dr. Newby is director of the Center for Worship and Professor of Music at Seattle Pacific University. He holds advanced degrees areas of Music and Theology. He has led worship in 45 states and in Africa, Asia, Canada, and the Middle East. He also serves as Artist in Residence at Peachtree Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia and Worship Leader in Residence at Abundant Life Christian Fellowship in Mountain View, California. He served as Pastor of Music and Worship Arts at Antioch Bible Church in Kirkland, Washington for 25 years. He is married to Stephanie Ashe Newby for twenty-five years and they have one young adult son, Silas Michael Newby. His recordings can be found on Maranatha Music, Integrity and Newby’s Witness Music labels. He has recently written a book entitled Worship Outside the Music Box published by Redemption Press. He loves Jesus Christ with his whole heart and is called to the global ministry of reconciliation.
