Men in America are in crisis. They are spiritually bankrupt and ethically and morally confused by a constant blurring of the boundary lines in society today. They often find themselves in no-win, double-bind situations that leave them tired and confused.

As a result, men have abdicated their God-ordained roles as leaders in their churches, in their communities; and more importantly, in their homes. Today’s average American man is desperate for Jesus Christ and doesn’t even know it! Consider these statistics:

For every 10 men in the average church:

  • 9 will have kids who leave the church
  • 8 will find their jobs dissatisfying
  • 6 will pay the minimum monthly payment of their credit cards
  • 5 have a major problem with pornography
  • 4 will experience divorce which will in turn affect 1,000,000 children per year
  • Only 1 will have a biblical world view
  • All 10 will struggle to balance family and work

Of the 108,000,000 men in America who are 15 years old and older, 66,000,000 do not know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and only 6,000,000 of those who do know Him are in a discipling or mentoring relationship.

“It isn’t that men can’t see the solution; it is that they can’t see the problem.”
G.K. Chesterton

We need men in America to step up and assume their God-ordained roles as husband, father and leader. Our nation will not see significant change until we can “turn the hearts of the fathers toward their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers.” (Malachi 4:6)

Of the 72,000,000 kids in America today, 33% of them will go to bed tonight in a home without a biological father. 40% of first marriages end in divorce. 33% of all children are born out of wedlock.

Godly men are the vital link in the rebuilding of our nation’s future generations. According to a recent Gallop Poll on fathering, “the most significant family or social problem facing America is the physical absence of the father in the home.”
