Allison Allen

Speaker/ Author & Founder of Storyboard LLC

From her kindergarten stage debut as a bovine to performing one-woman pieces with Women of Faith, Allison Allen has always relished the power of story, the thrill of walking in the shoes of others, and the joy of stringing words together. After graduating as an Andrew Carnegie Scholar from the prestigious acting program at Carnegie Mellon University, Allison (Metcalf) Allen landed on Broadway in the revival of “Grease”, and stayed there for almost two years. Following her tenure of 650 performances with the show, the hand-jive from Rydell High still returns to grace her dreams. For three years, Allison experienced the joy of being Women of Faith’s dramatist, performing her original one-woman pieces for over 200,000 women in arenas around the country. She counts walking the same platform as the Women of Faith “porch-pals” among one of the profound honors of her life. Currently, she has the joy of teaching at conferences around the country, watching from the wings as God brings His daughters more fully to life. In 2017, her first nationally published (Revell) book, Shine, was released. Her second book, Thirsty for More, went off into the world in September of 2018, with the hope of helping women navigate difficult desert seasons with unique hope. On a personal note, Allison is married to a good and handsome man – a man with whom she can wear heels. This is no small feat, as Allison resides somewhere around 5’12”. Jonathan is a worship pastor, and together they have two delightful sons: Levi and Luke.

Seminar Title: Desert Blessings: Discovering the Unexpected Gifts of A Dry Season

Seminar Description: It’s easy to dread dry spiritual seasons ~ But what if God is doing more in your life than you could dream? Using the stories of Elijah and Moses and the Author and Finisher of our faith, Jesus, we will walk through the barren land and discover that, in Christ, even the desert is breaking forth into bloom.

Nancy Hicks

Nancy Hicks is a teacher and speaker who inspires women to find their God-given power and ignite a life of passion. As a mother, wife and leader, Nancy Hicks understands the many roles a woman plays and the feeling that there must be more in her and for her. Nancy knows what it’s like to spend blurry days scrubbing floors and doing laundry, and she also knows what it’s like to use her voice as a singer and a former on-air spokesperson for QVC, reaching millions with her platform. In each season, Nancy has learned the power of intimacy with Christ and finding true aliveness from within — and unleashing the power and passion each of us is created for and called to.

After earning her master’s in theology from Palmer Seminary of Eastern University, she launched her international speaking ministry, NancyHicksLive, and today, Nancy speaks and teaches all over the world, equipping and encouraging women to find what lights them up and rocks their worlds for Christ.

The author of Meant to Live, Nancy has been featured on Hallmark’s Home & Family, The Jesus Calling Podcast, as well as in Publisher’s Weekly, The Christian Post, Christian News Journal, Philadelphia Weekly and more.

With the perfect mix of grit and glamor, Nancy inspires women to take their place in God’s Kingdom and raises them up to become who they are meant to be. She and her husband, Cam, have been married since 1990 and have two sons – Aaron, who is married to his darling wife, Rachel, and their beloved David, who passed on to heaven in May 2021 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Heather Cate

Proven Ministries is a non-profit organization with a mission to see a revival of sexual integrity among the entire Bride of Christ. We want to help men and women find freedom from their sin and passionately pursue Jesus in a personal relationship with Him. We desire to see this transformation and growth to happen within the walls of the local church! It’s all about experiencing the power of the Gospel within our lives and struggles! Heather Cate is the office manager and executive assistant at Proven Ministries. As a single woman and one who was raised in the church, Heather received several subtle messages: Lust is a man’s struggle. She would meet and marry a good Christian man in her early 20’s. Marriage would solve any and all sexual struggles. Experience proved these messages to be wrong, and now Heather is passionate about helping women, whether single or married, both acknowledge and embrace their bodies and natural desires while also submitting themselves to God’s desire for their sexuality. She longs for the day the church addresses this neglected and mistreated so that the body of Christ can move ever closer to sexual freedom, integrity, and love.
